Venezuelan TPS Update

On 9/20/2023, DHS Secretary Mayorkas announced an extension to TPS for Venezuelans

Venezuelans who entered the U.S. before July 31, 2023 can apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS), as long as they otherwise qualify. On 10/4/2023, the Federal Register was updated to reflect this.

Venezuela 2021

  • For individuals who currently have TPS or have a pending TPS initial application that USCIS has not yet adjudicated.

  • TPS Designated Through: September 10, 2025

  • Re-Registration Period: January 10, 2024 – March 10, 2024

Venezuela 2023

  • For individuals who have not yet filed for TPS and would like to file an initial application.

  • TPS Designated Through: April 2, 2025

  • Re-Registration Period: October 3, 2023 – April 2, 2025
